Items such as groceries, hand santiziers, cleaning supplies and toilet paper are among some of the hardest hit.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This double blow to retailers has left many items out of stock with consumers desperate to know when they will be available again. In just one example that demonstrates the magnitude of the situation, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.modernretail.co\/startups\/hand-sanitizer-brand-touchland-has-built-a-10000-plus-waitlist-amidst-coronavirus-fears\/\">sanitizer brand Touchland has over 10,000 people on their waitlist<\/a>.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To further compound things, small and medium sized businesses often don\u2019t have the same power to secure additional supplies as their larger counterparts. There are also other options if you\u2019re on a different ecommerce platform such as <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/search\/back+in+stock\/\">WooCommerce<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bigcommerce.com.au\/apps\/search\/?search=back%20in%20stock\">BigCommerce<\/a>.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within any good back in stock app, you\u2019ll be able to make certain customizations to take full advantage of power of these emails, including:&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Controlling how many customers get notified at once. This is helpful if you find yourself with long waitlists. If you have only received a shipment of 100 units and you have 200 people on your waitlist, you don\u2019t want to send a back in stock email to everyone.
