How long does the full migration take?
Most migrations take 1 to 2 weeks, depending on the complexity of your automations and the size of your lists. Stores with up to 50K subscribers and standard flows typically finish in a week.

Will I lose my subscriber history?
No. We migrate subscription history, tags, segments, and engagement behavior from your current platform. What matters for you to keep treating your customers the same way comes along.
Raw send history (every email already sent) doesn't migrate, because each platform stores it differently. But every piece of data that makes your automations work, yes.
What if I'm still under contract with my current platform?
We can coordinate the switch to happen at the end of your current contract. In the meantime, the migration runs in parallel, and you only do the official switch when it makes sense for your business.
Will my deliverability drop with the switch?
This is what most migrations get wrong. We configure SPF, DKIM, and DMARC from the start, and do gradual IP warming when needed. Your first campaigns are thoroughly tested and finessed by our team to catch any drift on the spot.

What happens with my current integrations?
SmartrMail connects natively with Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, and Neto. If you use one of those, product, order, and customer integration works out of the box.
For other integrations via API or Zapier, our team maps what you have today and replicates it on the new platform during migration.
How much does migration cost?
Zero. Migration is free for merchants who sign up to a paid SmartrMail plan. Lists, automations, templates, DNS, coaching calls, and testing of first campaigns, all included.
For those starting on the free plan, migration is also possible, but with reduced scope (lists + main automations).
Do I need any technical knowledge to migrate?
No. The technical work stays with us. You only need to give read-only access to your current platform so our team can pull the data, and approve the DNS configuration with your domain provider. We send clear instructions for that part.
What if I want to go back to my previous platform?
You're not locked in. Your data is yours. You can export lists, automations, and reports any time. But most merchants who migrate here don't go back, because the support and pricing model solve what drove the move in the first place.
