Today we’ve launched a new look for SmartrMail, and with it a big change in our brand.
How we got here
Before SmartrMail, our founders George and Phil started Australia’s largest online art gallery, Bluethumb. While growing Bluethumb, they faced huge challenges when it came to email marketing – their customers had different tastes, but they weren’t able to send them what they liked at scale. Most tools at the time were so basic that you couldn’t do what you needed to do to make sales online, or they were so advanced and expensive that a small team would never have the time, skills or budget to justify using them. They decided to build the email tool they wanted themselves. SmartrMail was born – an easy email tool that sent the right products to the right customers.
That was 4 years ago and we launched as a single feature app. We sent product recommendations based on what your customers’ purchase and browsing history. We found a lot of other merchants facing the same challenges as us. They loved our product recommendations, but they wanted more!
We’ve taken steps ever since to build SmartrMail into a fully featured email marketing app for e-commerce. With newsletters, advanced segmentation, abandoned carts and automated flows – we’re providing merchants with the easiest way to grow their store with email.
Today with a team of 14 strong and more exciting features on our roadmap, it’s time to update our brand.
Over the next year we’ll continue making the easiest email marketing app for our users with new features, improvements and some new ways for you to grow your business. We believe owned channels like email when done right, are the future of commerce. It’s our job to make it easy for you.
